Scholarship

In the year 2016, we are proud to mention that the Trust has helped 239 needy Kodava children, including  four Ammakodava and two Yerava students spanning areas from Soorlabbi to Shrimangala. The total amount distributed is Rs 16,56,000/-. That includes 11 children for medical reasons. The Trustees have interacted with almost all the recipients and tried to motivate them to do well in their studies. The Trust has also extended financial help to 12 patients and accident victims. The total amount distributed is Rs 1,12,000/- till date.

It is heartening to mention that 96 philanthropic Kodavas have contributed their might and supported our Trust, this year. 11 among them have contributed Rs One Lakh each and more asking us to institute Scholarships in the names of their near and dear ones. Till date we have instituted a total of 51 special scholarships of Rs 10,000/-each, and 18 scholarships of Rs 8,000/-each. In addition to these scholarships, 8 children have received Rs10,000/-each,63 children have received Rs 8,000/- each, 24 students have received Rs 5,000/- each, 73 students have received Rs 4000/-each and 2 students have received Rs 3000/-each. The recipients include 17 orphans, 59 children of single parents, 11 children of ailing parents and 158 BPL card holders. Academically, 13 are pursuing Masters degree, 1 MBBS, 12 Engg ,1 Diploma, 1 BPEd , 1 CA, 1 Nursing, 118 under graduates degree, 80 PUC and 11 are in school.
